The Philia Project e.V. is a member-led non-profit organization supporting initiatives rooted in equality, democracy, and international understanding. We serve as an umbrella for local and international projects that put shared values into practice.

Our upcoming project in Syria is co-created with partners on the ground to strengthen community resilience and exchange.

Democracy Promotion

We believe a vibrant democracy needs informed citizens and open dialogue.

With projects like Bundesblick and our initiative for Demokratieförderung in Ostdeutschland, we support civic dialogue, inclusive narratives, and grassroots participation across Germany.

International Understanding

We believe cross-cultural connection fosters understanding and mutual care.

Our Global Philia Meetups bring people together across borders to reflect, connect, and grow a culture of understanding and care.

Membership

We are a member-led organization, which means that our direction, priorities, and projects are shaped by the people who join us.

Our members contribute ideas, vote on key decisions, and help ensure that we stay true to our values — independent, community-powered, and mission-driven. We’re proud of this structure and invite anyone who shares our goals to become a part of it.
